One of my NEW comics, Swallow, is now up on Jetplastic.net.
You can also read it on my website - RED MUSEUM
Be sure to bookmark Jetplastic for more comics from other cool artists and an upcoming interview with me.
Another new comic, What We Do, will be posted up next week!
Check out Ramiro’s new comic! So proud. :)
Note: It’s mildly nsfw. You see a flat-chested girl’s boobs and there’s an orgy (but you can’t see anyone’s bits). Also gross horror stuff. Maybe read it at a time when your mom isn’t hovering around behind you.
Well, knowing me I’d make a devils food cake with chocolate frosting and fresh strawberries and a chocolate chip mousse for filling

I fell asleep trying to write this last night (11/23). I’m not ignoring your request, but you’ll have to excuse me as my short stories aren’t very impressive. I spent today trying to whip something up and make it worth the time. I’m sorry in advance if this doesn’t deliver a good night’s sleep. :X
Once, there was a young man who lived alone in a quiet cottage. He would stay up all night because he was too scared to fall asleep. He wasn’t afraid of the dark, or boogie men, but he was afraid of closing his eyes and never waking up. He often had nightmares where bony claws would seal his eyes and mouth shut for eternity. He wept in his sleep, because of the visions that plagued his dreams. He tried different ways to calm himself with dream catchers, white noise and drinking herbal teas. None of which drained him of the nightmares, so he always woke up with bloodshot, crusted eyes.
Just when all hope was lost, a wandering woman heard his cries in the dead of night. Intrigued, she had never seen someone brought to tears by his own dreams. As he tossed and turned in his sleep, she crept close toward the window, cupping her hands against the glass. The warmth of her palms fogged the surface, so she tapped her fingers to wake him. He turned to the bedside only to see a pair of hands, clawing at the glass. He jumped from the bedsheets and hit the lights.
"What the hell are you doing out there!" He said gripping the bedpost.
"Sorry, I’m looking for a place to rest," she sighed.
"I can’t even get a good night to myself. Go away!" He said shutting the blinds.
"If you let me help you, will you let me stay?" She held one hand against the glass panel.
The wind rustled through the trees and calmed down to a whisper. As she pushed away from the window, a creaking door broke the silence. She made her way to the front of the cottage and saw him standing in the doorway draped in blankets.
"You may only stay tonight." He said. They shook hands and agreed.
He dragged some blankets around the room, placed sheets over a humble couch and lied down.
"What’s going on?" she asked.
"Go ahead and take my bed, but please leave me alone." He pointed to bedroom door.
She walked to his room and shut the lights, knelt at the crack of the door and sang a sweet lullaby:
"Your body’s weak, restless one,
go off to sleep, the day is done.
Whatever troubles your dreams
can be resolved by other means.
Tuck yourself in, learn to relax,
as you wrap up yourself at last.
I pray you find dreamland in peace
and nightmares grip shall release.
Please close your eyes, dear friend;
May your dreams be heaven sent.”
Her voice was like a bell that lulled him into bed. The young man stretched across the couch and yawned; he was falling soundly asleep to a sirens song. For the first time in months, he felt peace. He didn’t feel anxious with the woman humming in the background; the little cottage comfortably held two.
He slept without a care in the world … until he woke the next morning to an empty home. No goodbyes were exchanged, only a set of hand prints on his window panels. He looked at the smudges drawn against the glass and discovered they were a series of musical notes. He copied them to a clean sheet and played the chords on a guitar. She left her song behind; a thank you and reminder of what helped him through the night would become a song to last a life time.
It’s good! It has a good amount of nostalgic and modern elements to keep it interesting. And the end ties up nicely so you don’t feel shorted. I recommend it.
BTW this show is available on Netflix. I’ll keep watching so me and Kai have something to discuss. LIKE how Shag throws Velma into the Friend Zone so fast ;(
I put a quarter into the gumball machine and said a silent prayer as I turned the handle. I was hoping I wouldn’t get watermelon-flavored gum.
I got a human tooth.
I stiffened, closing my fingers around the tiny bone in my palm. Was he here? Watching me? I couldn’t…
well that was thoroughly frightening… guess i DON’T need sleep tonight after all 0.0
don’t worry, the dark and twisted tooth fairy will visit you when you blink ;)
